It has often been theorized by fans that Marissa was the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye, and on the commentary track of The Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary DVD, it was confirmed by Flint Dille, story consultant on the Transformers movie as well as a writer, story editor and producer on G.I. Joe.

In the Transformers series, a character named Marissa Faireborn was featured, and Faireborn happened to be the surname of Flint's real civilian name.

In an interview with writer Henry Gilroy, Gilroy stated that the relationships between Flint and Lady Jaye and Scarlett and Snake Eyes would be evolving as the series progresses.

Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge (July 1, 1969 – October 9, 2007) was the chosen name of Jacqueline Mary Breyer, an American nurse, keyboard player and singer with PTV3 (a revamped version of Psychic TV) and Thee Majesty.
They were joined in 2004 by P-Orridge's wife, Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge, and briefly by Morrison Edley (Toilet Böys).
