Guido Lanfranco (born 1930), Maltese writer on natural history and folklore
Reni in this painting allies himself more with the sterner Cavaliere d'Arpino, Lanfranco, and Albani "School" of mytho-historic painting, and less with the more crowded frescoes characteristic of Pietro da Cortona.
In September 2013, Lanfranco founded Rhombus Space as a contemporary art gallery in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
Born in Santo Stefano Ticino in 1230, Squarcina was the son of Lanfranco of Borri (end of 12th – early 13th century), the local feudal lord of the city of Santo Stefano Ticino.
