The Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico (Italian for Italian Professional Football League), commonly known as Lega Pro (Pro League), is the governing body that runs the third and fourth highest football divisions in Italy, the Prima Divisione and Seconda Divisione respectively.
Between 1989 (when it acquired the sports title of G.S. Telgate of Telgate) and 1996 the club played a total of 4 seasons in Serie C1 and 3 in Serie C2.
In summer 2007 he then joined Serie B club U.S. Avellino, but he did not manage to return to his highs, and the biancoverdi were ultimately relegated to Lega Pro Prima Divisione that year, but were eventually placed back in Serie B to fill the void left by the bankrupt FC Messina, who ultimately were relegated to Serie D.
