Leon F. Wheatley

He was born on February 20, 1872, in West Franklin, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, the son of William Wheatley.

He is noted for identifying several new fossilized species, some of which bear his name, and for his connection to the Port Kennedy Bone Cave, which contained one of the most important middle Pleistocene (Irvingtonian, approximately 750,000 years ago) fossil deposits in North America.

Cupid Angling

The film was produced by Leon F. Douglass's National Color Film Company in the Lake Lagunitas area of Marin County, California, and was made in the Douglass Natural Color process, the only feature film made in this process.
