3 unusual facts about Leticia Palma

Leticia Palma

She was most famous for her role in Roberto Gavaldón's En la palma de tu mano, which ranked 70th on Somos magazine's 1994 list of the 100 best Mexican films.

Born in Paraíso, Tabasco, Palma starred in a dozen films before a dispute with Jorge Negrete, then-president of the National Association of Actors (ANDA), led to her being banned from the Mexican film industry.

Thus ended the career of the actress whom cinema historian Emilio García Riera described as "one of the most interesting presences" on the Mexican silver screen.
