During the post World War II period he worked on numerous projects with his mentor, producer Louis de Rochemont, notably on Alfred L. Werker's quasi-biographical Lost Boundaries, which was one of the first U.S. films to feature black actors in professional positions, and which was banned in Atlanta and Memphis.
After completing this film, she had bit roles in two Hollywood productions, Lost Boundaries (1949) and No Way Out (1950), before retiring from acting.
The film is based on the book by William Lindsay White, relating the true story of Dr. Albert Chandler Johnston, a graduate of Rush Medical College whose family passed for white while living in New Hampshire.
