The first part of the road between Lusi and Mikkeli was rebuilt in the 1990s and the 2000s (decade).

He is married to Lusi Ravuvu (daughter of prominent academic Asesela Ravuvu) and has two children - Litia and Daniel.
It also has a well-known fish port called Lüsi town, named after Lü Dongbin, one of the eight immortals, who is said to have visited the place four times.
The name died out in Ireland in 1919 with the death of his grand-daughter Countess Elise de Lusi, but his other Irish descendants include the physicist Professor John Joly FRS (1857–1933).
