He has cooperated with renowned international DJs and producers like Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold and was signed by their labels "Black Hole" and "Perfecto".
From 2002 he only performed as a solo act called "Bass+Lyrik", but releasing recordings of strictly instrumental music resulting from different sessions with the participation of – besides the above mentioned – Chris Karrer (Amon Düül) and Geoff Leigh (Henry Cow) (2 CDs).
He rose to early fame as the editor of several anthologies of German poetry of a ‘spiritual’ kind, including Der deutsche Psalter and two volumes of Die Ernte aus acht Jahrhunderten deutscher Lyrik, and for his retelling of the Tristan and Isolde and Parzifal stories, all of which sold in tens of thousands before 1914.
