Alcimachus of Apollonia, first son of the Thessalian Agathocles and the eldest brother of Lysimachus, who was a general and diplomat of Alexander the Great
On 21 May 2013 three Lysimachus coins minted on Tomis and Callatis were recovered from looters among other Roman and medieval coins.

A treasure containing 3600 Greek coins (bearing the names of Lysimachus, Pharnakes and Asander) weighting 30 kg was looted in August 1998 from the Sarmizegetusa Regia site of Șesu Căprăreței.
While staying in the court of Lysimachus, Arsinoe's intrigues led to the accusation of Lysimachus' first son, Agathocles, of treason and to his execution.
Among his works are Ladensium Aὐτοκατάκρισις, an answer to Lysimachus Nicanor by John Corbet in the form of an attack on Laud and his system, in reply to a publication which charged the Covenanters with Jesuitry; Anabaptism, the true Fountain of Independency, Brownisme, Antinomy, Familisme, etc.
It is set in the ancient Middle East after the death of Alexander the Great, and features the major historical figures of the era: Antigonus, his son Demetrius, and Seleucus, Ptolemy, and Lysimachus.
