Malaba, Kenya, a town in Teso District, western Kenya, on the border with Uganda
In 2005, Malaba, Uganda was the second busiest border crossing between Uganda and Kenya, based on volume of exports and imports.
The company has a branch network in the following Ugandan towns; Arua, Busia, Fort Portal, Gulu, Jinja, Kapchorwa, Kasese, Lira, Mbarara, Malaba, Masaka, Masindi, and Mbale.
In 2007 it provided services to 1.8 million people out of 2.5 million in Kampala, Jinja/Lugazi, Entebbe, Tororo, Mbale, Lira, Gulu, Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale, Kasese and Fort Portal, Bushenyi/Ishaka, Soroti Arua, Masindi, Malaba, Iganga, Hoima, and Mubende.
This started in the southern border crossing town of Busia (Kenya/Uganda), where there is over half a mile between the gates, and quickly spread to the northern border town of Malaba (Kenya).
