Charles Worrod

Worrod is credited with recording songs of international status, such as Malaika (Fadhili William), Helule Helule (which later caught the interest of the British pop band, The Tremeloes), and the Kenyan-nationalised anthem-like Harambee.

Equator Records

Equator Sound Studios, under direction from Worrod at that point, marketed and produced Fadhili's world-famous Swahili love-ballad, Malaika, after Worrod realised that the original poorly-recorded Malaika could have international appeal.

Farian announced that he didn't want to make more Boney M. recordings - only to call back Mitchell to re-record their 1981 hits "Felicidad" and "Malaika".
