Platform 1 is used by trains bound for Perth underground station (these trains generally continue onto the Joondalup Line) whilst platform 2 is used by trains heading south towards Mandurah.
The then Premier of Western Australia, the Honourable Alan Carpenter, officially opened the station and the Mandurah line in an official ceremony within the station precinct on 23 December 2007.
The Nowergup Depot was built in 2004, and completed on 20 May 2004.The depot was designed for storage and servicing of the incoming B-series railcars, all the trains from Clarkson to Mandurah.
