Binsey, Oxfordshire

Binsey's most noted feature is the Church of England parish church of St Margaret, set at some distance north of the surviving houses.

Bodelwyddan

The Church is dedicated to two Saints, St. Margaret and St. Kentigern, and contains several notable graves - including the grave of Elizabeth James, mother of Sir Henry Morton Stanley, a renowned Victorian Explorer.

Pudding Norton

The first, the church of Saint Margaret, retains just the walls of its west tower and part of the west end of the nave.

Toft Monks

The local church in the village is dedicated to St. Margaret and was originally constructed in the 13th century.

Urquhart, Moray

The first reference to a church in Urquhart, which was dedicated to Saint Margaret, appears in a deed of 1237.

Wolf's Castle

Several churches are to be found in the area – St Margaret's in Wolfscastle itself, St Michael's in Treffgarne, and St Dogfael's at St Dogwells (a grade II* listed building).


Brashlyan

The monastical school (working in 1871–1877), the St Pantaleon, St Petka and St Marina chapels and the 17th-century bell tower of the St Demetrius Church have been restored by a local association; an ethnographic collection and an open air museum of agriculture were set up as well.

A final group of images concerns saints, three of which are female (Catherine of Alexandria, Mary Magdalene, and Margaret the Virgin); in the case of two of the three male saints, Thomas Becket and Saint Nicholas, special attention is paid to the saints' mothers.
