After scoring 9 goals in 35 games, Gaborik was dealt at the trade deadline on April 3, 2013, along with minor league players Blake Parlett and Steven Delisle to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Derick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, John Moore and a sixth-round pick.
