George Chichester, 3rd Marquess of Donegall (1797–1883), Anglo-Irish landowner, courtier and politician
His wife Dehra was also a politician while their daughter Marion Caroline Dehra was the mother of politicians James Chichester-Clark, Baron Moyola, and Sir Robin Chichester-Clark and of gardening writer and television presenter Penelope Hobhouse.
The second President, Lord Brabazon, who had been so active and supportive in the club's affairs, died in 1964, and was succeeded by The Marquess of Donegall who was the senior Vice-president, and who instituted the annual Donegall Award.
