Lorenzo was the first sports presenter to appear on Sky TV when it launched in 1989, after a career in newspapers, BBC TV and BBC Radio.

He is also a long time member of the London Scottish Golf Club in Wimbledon, where he plays fairly regularly with his son, who is a junior member at the club.
