In early 2005 SEN 1323 was launched in Adelaide simulcasting from SEN 1116 bar the Saturday morning show (Mark Aiston, Matthew Primus & Mark Bickley) & SANFL broadcasts.
As his star rose as a player, Primus was also getting noticed off the field, being voted Cleo Magazine's ”Most Eligible Bachelor” in 1998.

After playing 14 games for Fitzroy in 1995, Pike played all 22 games in 1996, winning Fitzroy's best-and-fairest award, beating later Port Adelaide captain Matthew Primus for the honour.
