Atto Melani (1626–1714), castrato singer, diplomat, spy and writer
Argalasti is a stopping point for those headed for the nearby beaches of the Pagasetic Gulf (Chorto, Kalamos, Lefokastro) or the Aegean Sea (Potistika, Melani, Paltsi).
Melani has been the object in recent years in the novels by Rita Monaldi and Francesco Sorti beginning with Imprimatur and continuing with Secretum and Veritas .
On March 25, 2012, Melani was involved in a domestic dispute in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.
The following year he launched four footwear brands for Dillard’s Department Stores, including Antonio Melani, Gianni Bini, Nurture and Michelle D. Later that year, he acquired the footwear licenses for BCBG Max Azria and BCBGirls.
