In 2006 Galloway once again took the title of first female head teacher, this time at Methodist College Belfast.

It was reported in 1909 that discussions had taken place between Belfast Royal Academy, Campbell College, Methodist College and Royal Belfast Academical Institution about setting up a rugby junior competition for pupils with an age qualification given as under fifteen years of age on 1 November.

Methodist College Belfast is the most successful school with 38 wins (35 outright wins and 3 shared wins).

In 1977 the organising committee of Belfast Royal Academy, Methodist College Belfast, Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Royal School Dungannon ceded control of the competition to the Ulster Branch of the Irish Rugby Football Union.

In 1910 Methodist College and Royal Belfast Academical Institution proceeded with the competition and for the first five years only these two schools competed.

In 2012-13 the top eight seeded teams were Ballymena Academy, Campbell College, Coleraine Academical Institution, Methodist College Belfast, Regent House, Newtownards, Royal Belfast Academical Institution, Sullivan Upper School and Wallace High School.

The Vals

Another track from the same sessions, Emily O', was recorded alongside the Methodist College Belfast Choir but is yet to be released.During the promotional campaign of the single 'Look to the One' , the band performed an acoustic version of Emily O' for the Ralph McClean show on the BBC.

Ulster Schools' Cup

Methodist College Belfast have won the most titles, with 36 (34 outright wins and 2 shared wins).

In the centenary year of the competition after the 1976 final, the governors of Methodist College presented a new shield, as the original had no more room to record the winners.

At the northern end of the road, Number 1 Malone Road is Methodist College Belfast, while further south lies Victoria College, Belfast.
