Metro Rapid

Inspiration for the program partly came from the transportation network of Curitiba in Brazil, although the concept in nascent form was first broached in a restructuring study long before local officials' famous trip there.

Thai Town, Los Angeles

The area is served by the Metro Red Line subway at the Hollywood/Western station in addition to Metro Rapid bus lines 757 & 780 and Metro Local bus lines 180, 181, 206, 207, & 217.


Arleta, Los Angeles

Metro Rapid route 761 provides fast transit on Van Nuys Boulevard, and Metro route 158, goes up Woodman Avenue, but turns on Arleta Avenue via Brandford Street, and continues along Devonshire St into Granada Hills, Northridge, and Chatsworth, respectively.

East Hollywood, Los Angeles

Over a dozen bus lines run on the major thoroughfares, including Metro's Rapid and Local service lines.
