Michio Okamura was a regular contributor from the earliest volumes of the Arduin books, his distinct woodcut art style was featured on the cover of Dark Dreams (AG VI).
A few employees from the Diablo team, including Eric Sexton, Michio Okamura and Steven Woo, organized to launch a new company, Hyboreal Games.
Former Blizzard North members who joined Castaway Entertainment include Michael Scandizzo, Stefan Scandizzo, Alan Ackerman, Steven Woo, Rick Seis, Ted Bisson, Bruno Bowden, Peter Brevik, Michael Huang, Kelly Johnson (artist), Michio Okamura, Tom Ricket (Shirt Guy Tom, of Sluggy Freelance fame), and Fredrick Vaught (after whom the Halls of Vaught in Diablo II were named).
In 2007, he then met up with some of his fellow Blizzard North friends, "Michio Okamura" and "Eric Sexton", and was asked to be the Director of Technology for their newly formed company U.I. Pacific Games, Inc.
Afterwards he joined Condor Inc. as an artist working on the Sega Genesis title Justice League Task Force.

Okamura began his artistic career as a comic book artist on Reggie Byers' Shuriken, as well as Comico's adaptations of Robotech.
