Midford railway station, on the S&DJR line served the village until 1966.
There was a small goods yard to the north of the station, towards the entrance to the Combe Down Tunnel, which loaded Fuller's earth from Tucking Mill.
Work is currently (December 2012) concentrated on two sites, Midford railway station and Spetisbury railway station.
