The new Station Building (acquired from Whitwell railway station) is made of stone and contains a shop and booking office.

The GVLR operates for the benefit of tourists and is part of the Midland Railway - Butterley.
One was operated by the Midland Railway, in Baldwin City, Kansas but has since been sold and may become part of a future museum in Manly, Iowa or possibly be restored to operation.
