Holloway is no longer open to traffic at the north end: vehicles now take the Wells Road road out of Bath towards Radstock, while pedestrians and cyclists can still follow Holloway up the hill.
The Hundred of Kilmersdon consisted of the ancient parishes of: Ashwick, Babington, Buckland-Denham, Hardington, Hemington, Holcombe, Kilmersdon, Radstock, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, and Writhlington.
Many of the villages and small towns of the county have the word Midsomer in their name; this is inspired in part by the real county of Somerset, and specifically the town of Midsomer Norton.

The Westfield Trading Estate is home to many national and local businesses, including Dickies, Jones Convenience Stores and the Midsomer Norton, Radstock & District Journal.
