In February 1965, he experienced severe chest pains while preaching at Moody Bible Institute, and that proved to be his last public appearance.

William Culbertson III (November 18, 1905 – 1971) was as an American Pastor, Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church and the fifth President of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
The song was exposed to wide audiences after becoming popular with Dr. William Henry Houghton of the Moody Bible Institute and Billy Graham who used the song frequently on his international crusades.
