On 23 March, Walkerdine, Maurice Mealing, Henry John Burden, and three other pilots all claimed a victory apiece by destroying a German reconnaissance plane over Moreuil.
In 1789 she and her sons left France for Switzerland, and in 1790 they returned and lived in seclusion at the Château de Moreuil with her husband's aunt, Innocente-Catherine-Renée, Duchess d'Elbeuf and Princess de Lorraine (1707–94; widow of Emmanuel-Maurice de Lorraine).

At 08:30 on the 30th, General Seely and his aides travelled towards the Moreuil woods from where his forces were stationed on the other side of the River Avre, with orders to cross the river and delay the enemy advance as much as possible.
The line was formerly two-track but was reduced to a single track in the 1980s; Montdidier, Moreuil and Estrées-Saint-Denis are the only remaining intermediate points where trains can pass each other.
