Recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, this is the only official Primal Scream release to contain the song "Screamadelica", which was not used on their Screamadelica album ("Movin' on Up" appears on Screamadelica).
Fly2K was to be released in 2000, but due to his incarceration, the release date was pushed back 2 years to 2002, which is the reason why this album has tracks already used from previous albums, such tracks like "Crownin' Me" from Fly Shit, "Nobody" from Movin' On, and "Ghetto Eyes" from Da Game Owe Me album.
The songs on the album were of a more diverse nature to the pure pop the group would later become famous for, with themes including a song about prostitution ("Lady"), open air sex ("Movin' With Susan") and a real-life tragedy ("Spring of 1912").
She is known for her role as Brenda in the Billy Joel/Twyla Tharp musical Movin' Out, and has also danced lead roles in two other Tony-award winning Broadway musicals: Fosse and Contact.
It was the opening song and in the 1967 TV special: Movin' With Nancy, starring Nancy Sinatra, released to home video in 2000.

Along with the group's most successful recordings, it includes remixes of some of their minor hits, and "Gotta Be...Movin' on Up" from the Marlon Wayans and David Spade 1998 comedy Senseless performed by Prince Be featuring Ky-mani.
Although not as widely known for her work in music, Arnold has experienced success as a recording artist; she co-wrote and performed the duet, "Movin Up," which reached #2 on the Billboard Club Play chart with fellow high school alum and house music artist Inaya Day.
An example of this is found in the line "I love my Nike Air, but now movin onto Gucci and Prada".
