In July 1914, Esser drove a Nagant on the XIV Grand Prix de l'Automobile Club de France - and finished 6th.
Patterned on the Nagant, fours of 18/20 hp, 24/30 hp, and 40/45 hp were available, as was a 35/40 hp six.

In terms of small arms, KdA personnel were armed with the Mauser Kar98k rifle, the Mosin-Nagant rifle, the Degtyaryov machine gun and the PPSh-41 submachine gun during the 1950s and 1960s.
