Dead Heart, in a Dead World is the fourth studio album by heavy metal band Nevermore, released in July 2000.
The band caught attention from Killzone Records and Grammy Award Winning Producer Neil Kernon (Nile, Dokken, Nevermore, Queensrÿche, Judas Priest) to work on their sophomore album.
The album features guest appearances by several notable musicians, including Devin Townsend and Jeff Loomis of Nevermore.
Recent proof of the Film Academy's philosophy of teaching are the Golden Leopard awarded to "Das Verlangen/The Longing" at the Locarno International Film Festival (2002), an Oscar nomination for "Das Rad" in the category "Best Animated Short Film" (2003), the Student Oscar at the Student Academy Awards for "Nimmermeer/Nevermore" in the category "Best Foreign Film" (2007).
Other key moments during this period included opening for Armored Saint, Flotsam and Jetsam, Iced Earth, Nevermore, and Angra; appearances at Chicago Powerfest, and ProgPower USA; and being named to the "Top 5 New Bands of 1998" and "Top 5 local albums 1999" in the Midwest Beat Magazine's reader's poll, and "Best Metal Band 1999" in Chicago's Suburban Nitelife Magazine reader's poll.
In 2004, Donovan won the Helen Hayes Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Lizzie Curry in 110 in the Shade at the Signature Theatre in Washington, D.C., where she also originated the role of Elmira in the world premiere of the musical Nevermore.
Also, the live versions of the band songs "Nikad više" ("Nevermore"), and "Sama" appeared on the live various artists compilation Četiri godine na Golom otoku (Four Years at Goli otok) and Svi protiv svih (Everybody Against Everybody), recorded live at KST on December 9, 1995 at the TV Politika Paket Aranžman fifth anniversary, and released in 1998 by Hi-Fi Centar.
