The show was once again hosted by Dominic Bowden, with Jackie Clarke replacing Fiona McDonald, who was pregnant with her first child, as one of the three judges.

Nine of these were voted in by the public through three heats (Camillia Temple, Ben Lummis and Filipo Saipani; Michael Murphy, Luke Whaanga and 'Big' Dave Houma; Robin Johnson, Sela Mahe and Eddie Gaiger).

One Road

One Road is the debut album by first-season New Zealand Idol winner Ben Lummis, released in New Zealand on 16 June 2004.

Ben's New Zealand Idol winner's song, "They Can't Take That Away", was the only single released from the album, immediately after he won the contest on 10 May 2004.


Robert Arnold

Before Boyband, Rob had auditioned for every series of New Zealand Idol, as well as achieving minor notoriety by auditioning twice on reality show “Showstoppers”, the second time in disguise, incurring the anger of judge Michael Hurst.
