To keep the whole clan under effective supervision, a native court was established at Obohia in 1907 but pressure from the likes of Chief Nwaturuocha of Nguru caused the transfer of the court to Nguru in 1909.
Shettima Mustapha was born on 26 November 1939 at Nguru, now in Yobe State.
During this journey he concluded treaties with the chiefs of Useguha, Nguru, Ijsagara and Ukami, in the name of the Gesellschaft für Deutsche Kolonisation.
