When Kolašin liberated from Turkish rule in 1878, people from the Morača and Rovca presented a part of the forest to King Nikola I Petrović-Njegoš of Montenegro.

Nicholas I of Montenegro

On August 28, 1910, during the celebration of his jubilee, he assumed the title of king, in accordance with a petition from the Skupština.

Prince Mirko of Montenegro

Prince Mirko Dimitri Petrović-Njegoš of Montenegro, Grand Voivode of Grahovo and Zetà (17 April 1879 – 2 March 1918) was born at Cetinje, the second son of King Nicholas I of Montenegro and Milena Vukotic.
