Arch Oboler (1909–1987), American playwright, screenwriter, novelist, producer, and director
Lampkin introduced Oboler to The Creation by James Weldon Johnson and convinced him to include excerpts of it in the script of Five.
Oboler was a longtime member of the American Library Association, and held numerous positions with the ALA and the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), one of the largest subdivisions of the ALA.
Previously located at the Bannock County Courthouse Annex, the Arthur P. Oliver Law Library is now on the first floor of the Oboler Library and contains court reporters, state and federal codes, and legal research materials.
When both Oboler and Johnson relocated to New York City, the actor was featured in many episodes of Arch Oboler's Plays, notably as the title role in "The Ugliest Man in the World" (repeated five times) and as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in "This Lonely Heart" both from 1939.
