Der Kuhreigen

Richard Tauber, who was a favourite of the composer, recorded the two main tenor arias twice for Odeon Records, firstly in April 1920 by the acoustic process, and again in September 1931 electrically.

Odeon Records

In 1936 the director of the Odeon branch was forced to retire and replaced by Dr. Kepler, a Nazi party member.

Walter Passmore

Between 1900 and 1913, Passmore recorded over a dozen of individual songs from the Gilbert & Sullivan operas for Odeon.

In an historic 1908 recording of The Mikado for Odeon that was reissued by Pearl on LP (GEMM 198), Passmore also sang the role of Ko-Ko.

Zoilo Canavery

Other musical artists that mention Canavery in his notes was Juan Sarcione, composer of the lyrics and the music of the tango Largue esa Mujica, this theme was interpreted by Carlos Gardel and recorded in 1929 for the Odeon label.

He made recordings for several record labels during the early years of the recording industry, including His Master's Voice, Odeon Records, Polydor Records, Tri-Ergon, and Vox Records.
