August Euler

Euler was born at Oelde in Westphalia and was educated at Oelde and at public schools in Cologne and Aachen and from 1885 started a career in engineering.

Cologne-Minden Railway Company

On 18 December 1843, the Prussian government granted a concession to the CME for the line from Deutz (now a suburb of Cologne) through Mülheim am Rhein, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Oberhausen, Altenessen, Gelsenkirchen, Wanne, Herne and Castrop-Rauxel to Dortmund and on to Hamm, Oelde, Rheda, Bielefeld and Herford to Minden.

In 1968 the family returned to Germany, and after a short time in a boarding school (Schule Schloss Salem), von Prondzynski attended the Thomas-Morus Gymnasium in Oelde, passing his Abitur examination in 1972.
