2 unusual facts about Orla Fallon


Órla Fallon

Fallon was featured in the self titled debut album Celtic Woman, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration and Celtic Woman: A New Journey, as well as in the tie-in PBS television specials and DVDs filmed in 2004, 2007, and 2006 respectively.

In 2009, Fallon appeared as a guest vocalist on Jim Brickman's "It's a Beautiful World" tour and PBS special, and released her second album Distant Shore in September of that year.


Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration

The album's main vocalists are the same five women who were first featured on the PBS music special of the same name: Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chloë Agnew and Máiréad Nesbitt.

On Raglan Road

The song, often known simply as "Raglan Road", has since been sung by The Dubliners, the Young Dubliners, Van Morrison, Sinéad O'Connor, Mark Knopfler, Billy Bragg, Roger Daltrey, Dick Gaughan, Loreena McKennitt, Joan Osborne, Orla Fallon, Ian Tamblyn, Tommy Fleming and Nyle Wolfe among others.

The Duggans

The duo released their début album in 2005, featuring Moya Brennan, Finbar Furey and Orla Fallon among others.
