Otto Eissfeldt (September 1, 1887 in Northeim – April 23, 1973) was a German Protestant theologian, known for his work on the Old Testament and comparative near-east religious history.

Born in Northeim in Germany, Eissfeldt studied Protestant theology and Oriental languages from 1905 to 1912 at the University of Göttingen and Berlin's Humboldt University.
