Paduka Sahasram, literal meaning "1000 verses on the padukas of the Lord", is devotional poetry extolling the virtues of worshipping the Paduka (feet) of god Vishnu whose deity is enshrined in Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam in Tamil Nadu.
He entered Telugu film industry during the early period and acted some films like Paduka Pattabhishekham (1945), Bala Nagamma (1942), Sarangadhara (1937), Draupadi Manasamrakshanam (1936).

He was very effective in portraying Satyavan in Savithri, Rama in Paduka, Dushyant in Shakuntala, Sarangadhara in Sarangadhara, Arjuna in Gayopakhyanam, Bahuka in Chitranaleeyam, and as Duryodhana in Veni Samharam, Draupadi Vastrapaharanam and Pandava Udyoga Vijayam plays.
