He worked on the design of the Falkirk Wheel with architectural firm RMJM prior to leaving this practice to establish his own studio.

Paul Stallan led the design of Glasgow's 2014 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village project in Glasgow's East End, a major design exercise that involved providing accommodation for over 7,000 athletes and then becoming housing after the games.

A major international project that Paul Stallan is leading with practice partner Alistair Brand is the new African University of the Creative Arts (AUCA) in Lagos, Nigeria working with Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka chairman of AUCA.
