Hanna Hirsch-Pauli

Her lifetime production was sparse and mostly consisting of portraits, such as the one of painter Karl Nordström (1890; in the Bonnier portrait collection, Nedre Manilla, Stockholm), writer Verner von Heidenstam as Hans Alienus (one of his literary characters, 1896), writer Selma Lagerlöf (1932, Nationalmuseum) and the group portrait Vänner ("Friends", 1907, Nationalmuseum) showing writer Ellen Key reading to a group in the home of the Pauli family.

Jens Pauli Heinesen's parents were Petur Heinesen á Lofti, a farmer from Sandavágur, and Anna Maria Malena Heinesen (born Johannesen) from the small island Hestur.

William Heinesen and Jørgen Frantz Jacobsen wrote in Danish, other Faroese writers, who wrote novels in Faroese were born thirty years before Jens Pauli Heinesen: Heðin Brú (1901–87) from Skálavík on Sandoy and Martin Joensen (1902–66) from Sandvík in Suðuroy.

Johannes Pauli

Johannes Pauli (born about 1455; died after 1530 in the monastery of Thann in Alsace) was a German Franciscan writer.

Pauli became Master of Arts in Strasbourg, entered the Franciscans (the "Barefooted"), and delivered his first sermon in Thann in 1479.

Jón Pauli Olsen

In 2005 Jón Pauli Olsen was manager for a merged boys team from the island Suðuroy, it was called VB/TB (from Vágur and Tvøroyri), Olsen was manager together with Milan Kuljić.

Julius Erasmus Hilgard

His parents were Peter Joen Pauli Olsen, fisherman, from Sandavágur and Lisbeth Olsen, born Magnussen, from Leynar.

St. Pauli

Singer and actor Hans Albers is strongly associated with St. Pauli, providing the neighbourhood's unofficial anthem, with "Auf der Reeperbahn Nachts um Halb Eins" ("On the Reeperbahn at half past midnight") from the movie Große Freiheit Nr. 7.

The Heathertones

The Heathertones vocal quartet took form in 1946 with members Nancy Swain Overton, her sister Jean Swain, Bix Brent and Pauli Skindlov.
