7 unusual facts about Pennsylvania Route 52


Centreville, Delaware

The hamlet of Fairville, Pennsylvania, about three miles north on Kennett Pike (Pennsylvania Route 52) developed about the same time as Centreville, and is also listed on the National Register.

Delaware Route 52

DE 52 continues northwest to its northern terminus at the Pennsylvania border, where it continues into that state as PA 52.

The route runs from U.S. Route 13 Business (US 13 Bus.) in downtown Wilmington north to Pennsylvania Route 52 (PA 52) at the Pennsylvania border near Centerville.

Pennsylvania Route 252

PA 252 was designated by 1928 to run from PA 320 north of Chester north to US 122/PA 52 (now US 202) in King of Prussia.

Pennsylvania Route 52

PA 52 ran concurrent with US 122 between West Chester and New Hope by way of Paoli, King of Prussia, Norristown, Montgomeryville, Chalfont, Doylestown, and Buckingham.

Near Longwood Gardens, PA 52 splits from US 1 by heading north on Lenape Road.

Here, the road turns northwest onto Creek Road (the old alignment of PA 100) prior to continuing northeast along Lenape Road into East Bradford Township.
