Peverell borders Central Park, often known as "the green lung" of Plymouth which is a very popular recreational area for Plymothians.

The area now consists mostly of Edwardian terraced houses, but also includes schools and a number of churches.
The Peverell name was otherwise spelled "Peverel", and it appears in both forms in modern town names across England, for example Peverell, Sampford Peverell, Hatfield Peverel, etc.
