From 1974 to 1979 she was a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department of the Environment, and then became Minister of State in the Privy Council Office in 1979.
He eventually became the Director of the Constitutional Law Division of the Privy Council Office.
From 1996 to 1998, he served as a senior advisor in Canada's Privy Council Office, directing public opinion research activities for the Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs.

Before 1846 Jones moved to Beaumaris, and in 1849 was appointed Inspector for schools in Wales in the Privy Council Office.
