The larvae feed on a wide range of plants, including Zea mays, Livistona humilis, Helianthus annuus, Durio zibethinus, Carica papaya, Ricinus communis, Planchonia careya, Sorghum bicolor, Macadamia integrifolia, Prunus persica, Citrus limon, Nephelium lappaceum, Solanum melongena, Brachychiton acerifolium and Elettaria cardamomum.
The larvae feed on various plants and have been recorded on Acer, Eupatorium, Helianthus, Dianthus caryophyllus, Helianthemum, Hypericum perforatum, Rhododendron, Trifolium, Sassafras, Gossypium hirsutum, Gossypium thurberi, Fragaria, Prunus persica, Rosa and Citrus species.
Kitchen Garden - fruit trees and bushes including apple (Malus), pear (Pyrus), cherry (Prunus cerasus), and peach (Prunus persica), as well as a small vineyard with a variety of grapes (Vitis) and hedges of Lonicera xylosteum and Humulus lupulus.
