In Croatian first league he played for Međimurje and Varteks Varaždin and for Varteks Varaždin he played in Europa League 2011/2012 qualifications in which he scored and assisted against Dinamo Bucureşti in third qualifications round.
Almir Turković (born 3 November 1970) is a retired Bosnian professional football forward who played for FK Sarajevo in Bosnia and clubs in the Croatian Prva HNL and Japanese J. League.
In the 1998–99 season, he was the sharing the place of the scoring leder of the Croatian First Football League with his teammate from Rijeka, Igor Musa, both scoring 14 goals.
He was the head coach of Croatian Third League side NK Žminj in 2002 and 2003, going on to move to Croatian Second League side NK Pula in early 2004, helping them to clinch promotion to the Croatian First League for the 2004–05 season.
Led by manager Igor Pamić, Karlovac won consecutive promotions in the 2007–08 and 2008–09 seasons, which saw them join the top level for the first time in their history.
