Carlos Jacanamijoy (born in Santiago, Putumayo in 1964) is a Colombian painter of native South American origin of the Inga people.

The nominate subspecies occurs in coastal mountains of northern Aragua in north Venezuela, the Andes of westerm Venezuela, through the Serranía del Perijá and the eastern Andes in Colombia south to Valle, Putumayo, Nariño and Pichincha Province in Ecuador.
"Carlos Jacanamijoy's vivid landscapes embody creation and the transformative Putumayo jungle of Colombia through abstractions of color and light," writes Navajo curator, Kathleen Ash-Milby of his work.
There are two dialects: Highland Inga, spoken in the Sibundoy valley; and Jungle Inga, spoken on the Putumayo and Japurá Rivers.
The song Tolko s Toboy (With You Only) was included in the Putumayo World Music compilation (featuring also Peter Gabriel, Gypsy Kings, Bob Marley, Johnny Clegg among others) which led to Farlanders’ traveling to the USA when they toured the East Coast, starting in Washington DC.
