There, he was discovered by a Japanese spy, who wanted him to be a body double of Puyi, by then the Emperor of Manchukuo.
It started from its early origins as the Later Jin Dynasty, founded by Nurhachi in 1616, until its eventual collapse when the last ruler Puyi abdicated in 1912.

Under the approval of the government, she moved Puyi’s ashes closer to his ancestors in the Western Qing Tombs (清西陵) from the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery.
Along with Puyi and Empress Wanrong, Wenxiu left the Forbidden City in 1924, and moved to the Zhang Garden (张园) in the Japanese Concession of Tianjin.
There he translated i.e. From Emperor to Citizen, an „autobiography“ of the last Emperor of China, Puyi, and started translating the novel Journey to the West into English.
Through his friend Chen Baochen, who was Puyi’s teacher and some of his students such as Puru, he would borrow the art pieces and use high-resolution camera to take glass version photographs of them and use advanced photographic printing process called Corot Press to print photo-books.
