# It is created with a software program commonly used in the printing industry, such as LaTeX, InDesign (Adobe), Illustrator (Adobe), Freehand (Adobe/Macromedia), Quark XPress (Quark, Inc), and exported in a commonly used file format, such as EPS, PDF and sometimes TIFF.
Some software companies that employed the Hexachrome system were Aldus (now Adobe), Adobe Photoshop, and QuarkXPress; as well as the printer manufacturers HP, Epson, and Xerox.
Metro is designed using Apple Macintosh computers running QuarkXpress. There are also Metro editions in two other American cities, New York and Boston which are run by the same publishing company.
