R. M. Lala

He managed this publishing house till 1963 and in 1964, he founded Himmat Weekly with Rajmohan Gandhi which he edited for a decade.

R.M. Lala’s impressive career spans journalism, publishing, philanthropy and writing books, including the best-selling biography, Beyond the Last Blue Mountain: A Life of J.R.D. Tata.

It was here that he got a deeper understanding of Moral Re-Armament (MRA), subsequently renamed as Initiatives of Change, besides life and human nature.

Russi M. Lala, (22 August 1928 – 19 October 2012) the author known for his chronicles of Tatas, graduated with History Honours from Bombay University.

During his association with the Tata group he authored a number of books celebrating the Tata heritage.
