Air Commodore Bob Judson RAF is a senior serving Royal Air Force Officer and was the first Station Commander of RAF Coningsby of the Eurofighter Typhoon-era.
On 17 August 1953 52 year old Air Vice-Marshal William Brook, the AOC of 3 Group, took off from the base in a Gloster Meteor, and crashed into a Dutch barn at Bradley, Staffordshire.

Since June 2007 the Typhoons of No. 3(F) Squadron have formed part of air defence of the UK along with RAF Leuchars near St Andrews, Fife, Scotland, both of which were equipped with Panavia Tornado F3 fighters.

His final operational flying appointment was as the Officer Commanding No. 23 Squadron in 1982 and by the late 1980s, he was Station Commander of RAF Coningsby.
RAF Metheringham was grouped into No. 5/4 Bases that included itself, RAF Woodhall Spa and RAF Coningsby with the latter acting as the controlling station.
Warton is the base for BAE Systems' Corporate Air Travel department which operates scheduled services for employees (and those of partner organisations) to Farnborough, Munich, Filton, Cambridge, RAF Coningsby, and RAF Marham.
